RHEMA Lights are still shining, even after being hit hard by Winter Weather!

After the storm as many as 500,000 homes were without power in Oklahoma, but praise God, the RHEMA campus was only out of commission for one day. The campus was affected however, as 50 percent of the 2 million Christmas lights on display were destroyed. The RHEMA campus is home to 989 trees, and 90 percent of those were damaged by the storm.
The Christmas lights display is a witness to the community every year of Jesus being the light of the world. People have been saved through this outreach, and we will get the display up and running again. In fact, the RHEMA Christmas Light Crew was able to restore the lights on the buildings on December 12, but the lights in the park could take longer to repair. The first order of business for the park is to make it safe again, as trees have been downed and broken branches hang from broken trees. Once the park is safe, the light crew will reactivate as many lights as possible and try to restore lights to the park before Christmas.
More than 200,000 people a year enjoy the Christmas lights display on the RHEMA campus, but roughly half the lights on campus, which were accumulated over the past 25 years, were destroyed. Thousands of dollars worth of lights were lost. If you would like to give a donation for the Christmas lights, please click here [insert link].
